Corbin Bosch

Corbin Bosch, born on September 10, 1994, is a South African cricketer and all-rounder who typically bats in the middle order. He played in the 2014 Under-19 World Cup and is the son of former South African cricketer Tertius Bosch. Bosch made his Test debut for South Africa on December 26, 2024, during a Boxing Day match against Pakistan at Centurion. Remarkably, he took a wicket with his first ball in Test cricket, becoming the 25th player in history and fifth South African to achieve this feat. In the same match, he took a four-wicket haul (4/63) and scored an unbeaten 81 batting at number nine, setting records for the highest score by a number nine batsman on Test debut as well as being the first South African to take four wickets and score a half-century in a Test debut.

Bosch made his ODI debut shortly before, on December 22, 2024, against Pakistan, where he dismissed centurion Saim Ayub for his first ODI wicket and contributed a valuable 40 runs from number eight in a challenging chase. In June 2025, he scored his maiden Test century against Zimbabwe at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. Outside cricket, he faced a legal issue in March 2025 when the Pakistan Cricket Board accused him of breaching contractual obligations by withdrawing from the Pakistan Super League to sign with the Mumbai Indians for the Indian Premier League of 2025. Bosch has also played in various domestic teams and tournaments, including the Titans, Northerns, and SA20 league with Paarl Royals.
