Dhruv Jurel

Dhruv Chand Jurel, born on January 21, 2001, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, is an Indian international cricketer who plays as a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman. Jurel rose to prominence as the vice-captain of the India Under-19 team during the 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in South Africa. Known for his aggressive yet composed batting in the middle order and sharp glovework, he quickly became a valuable asset in the Indian domestic circuit. He made his Twenty20 debut for Uttar Pradesh in January 2021 and his first-class debut in February 2022. Jurel’s notable domestic performances include a high score of 249 in the Ranji Trophy and consistent contributions in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His IPL journey began with Rajasthan Royals, debuting in 2023 with an impactful unbeaten 32, cementing his place in the side due to his fearless approach and ability to perform under pressure.

Jurel's international career took off in early 2024 when he earned his maiden Test call-up against England.
