Prasidh Krishna

Prasidh Krishna, born on February 19, 1996, in Karnataka, India, is a right-arm fast bowler known for his raw pace and ability to generate extra bounce, making him a potent threat in both domestic and international cricket. He made his first-class debut for Karnataka in 2015, impressing with a five-wicket haul against Bangladesh A early in his career. Over the years, Krishna established himself as one of India’s promising fast bowlers with consistent performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Ranji Trophy. His IPL debut came in 2018 with Kolkata Knight Riders, where he gained recognition for his pace and bounce. In 2022, after being bought by Rajasthan Royals for ₹10 crore, he had a standout IPL season, taking 19 wickets and forming a formidable new-ball partnership with Trent Boult, helping Royals reach the final.

Prasidh made his international ODI debut in March 2021 against England, taking 4 wickets and setting the record for the best figures by an Indian on ODI debut. Known for his variations and ability to bowl in the death overs, Krishna has become a key bowler for India in limited-overs cricket. In the 2025 IPL auction, he was signed by Gujarat Titans for ₹9.5 crore and continued his impressive form by winning the Purple Cap with 25 wickets.
