Sophie Grace Molineux, born on January 17, 1998, in Bairnsdale, Victoria, is a talented Australian cricketer known for her capabilities as a left-arm orthodox bowling all-rounder. She began her domestic career with Victoria in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) in 2016 and quickly made her mark with both bat and ball. Molineux’s leadership qualities were recognized when she captained the Melbourne Renegades in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). Her consistent performances earned her the inaugural Betty Wilson Young Cricketer of the Year Award in 2017, highlighting her as one of the most promising talents in Australian cricket.

Molineux made her international debut for Australia in 2018 and played a crucial role in Australia’s success at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup the same year. Despite facing setbacks due to injuries, she made a successful comeback and Test debut in 2019 against England. Known for her explosive batting and sharp bowling, Sophie contributes significantly in all formats.
