Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma, born on September 4, 2000, is a talented Indian cricketer who has showcased his skills both domestically and on the international stage.

He began his List A career representing Punjab in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy, making his debut on February 25, 2017. Following this, he made his first-class debut for Punjab in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on October 6, 2017.

In December 2017, Abhishek Sharma was selected for India's squad in the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in New Zealand, a testament to his promising talent.

On the domestic front, Abhishek garnered attention when he was acquired by the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the 2018 IPL auction for Rs 5.5 million. He made his Twenty20 debut for them on May 12, 2018, and left an impression by scoring 46 runs off just 19 balls.

Notably, on February 28, 2021, while playing for Punjab against Madhya Pradesh, Abhishek Sharma achieved a milestone by scoring the fastest hundred by an Indian in List-A cricket, taking just 42 balls.

His talent did not go unnoticed, as in February 2022, the Sunrisers Hyderabad secured his services in the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament. During the 2022 IPL season, he played 14 matches, accumulating a total of 426 runs, further solidifying his credentials as a valuable asset in the T20 format.
