Ashwani Kumar

Ashwani Kumar, born on August 29, 2001, in Jhanjeri, Mohali, Punjab, is an Indian cricketer known for his left-arm medium pace and left-handed batting. He made his first-class debut for Punjab on December 9, 2019, in the Ranji Trophy and his List A debut on December 8, 2021, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Ashwani has been a consistent performer in domestic cricket, showcasing his skills with both bat and ball. Notable performances include taking 3/37 against Arunachal Pradesh during the 2024–25 Vijay Hazare Trophy and claiming 4/21 in the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup.

In January 2025, Ashwani was bought by the Mumbai Indians for ₹30 lakhs during the IPL auction, marking a significant milestone in his career.
