Bevon Jacobs

Bevon John Jacobs, born on May 6, 2002, in Pretoria, South Africa, is a right-handed batsman who represents New Zealand in domestic cricket. His family emigrated to New Zealand when he was three years old, and he grew up in Auckland, where he developed his cricketing skills. Jacobs made his List A debut for Canterbury in the Ford Trophy on November 25, 2023, and his Twenty20 debut for Canterbury Kings in the Super Smash on December 19, 2023, where he impressed with a quickfire 42 off 20 balls. His performances in the Super Smash, including a strike rate of 188.73 across six innings, established him as an explosive middle-order batter.

Ahead of the 2024–25 domestic season, Jacobs signed with Auckland and continued to make an impact in domestic cricket. In the IPL 2025 auction, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians for ₹30 lakh (NZ$61,000). Although selected for New Zealand's T20I squad for the series against Sri Lanka in early 2025, he did not feature in any matches. Known for his aggressive batting and versatility as a finisher or opener, Jacobs is regarded as a promising talent in New Zealand cricket.
