Karim Janat, born on August 11, 1998, in Kabul, Afghanistan, is a versatile bowling all-rounder who has been a significant contributor to Afghanistan's cricketing success, especially in the T20I format. Making his T20I debut in December 2016 against the UAE, Janat immediately showcased his potential by earning the 'Player of the Match' award. Over his T20I career, he has played 67 matches, taking 42 wickets at an average of 27.14, with best figures of 5/11, and scoring 691 runs at a strike rate of 115.94. His ability to deliver under pressure was evident during the 2023 series against the UAE, where his late-innings blitz secured a thrilling victory for Afghanistan.
