Kumar Kartikeya

Kumar Kartikeya, born on 26 December 1997, is an Indian cricketer known for his contributions to both domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL). Representing Madhya Pradesh in domestic competitions and the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, Kartikeya has showcased his talent across various formats of the game.

Kartikeya made his List A debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 26 September 2018, marking the beginning of his journey at the professional level. Subsequently, he made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 28 November 2018, where he displayed his skills on the longer format of the game. Additionally, Kartikeya ventured into Twenty20 cricket, making his debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 2 March 2019, further showcasing his versatility as a cricketer.

In April 2022, Kartikeya was called upon to join the Mumbai Indians squad for the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) as a replacement for Arshad Khan, who was sidelined due to an injury. This opportunity presented Kartikeya with a platform to prove his mettle at the highest level of domestic T20 cricket and further solidify his place in the Mumbai Indians lineup.
