Marcus Stoinis

Marcus Peter Stoinis, born on 16 August 1989, is a prominent Australian cricketer renowned for his contributions in limited overs cricket. He represents the Australian national team and is affiliated with Western Australia and Melbourne Stars domestically. With an illustrious career that includes stints with Perth Scorchers and Victoria, Stoinis has established himself as a formidable all-rounder in the cricketing world.

Stoinis, born in Perth to Greek heritage, began showcasing his talent at a young age, representing Western Australia at both under-17 and under-19 levels. His journey in international cricket commenced with the Australian under-19 cricket team at the 2008 ICC Under-19 World Cup, followed by appearances at the Hong Kong Sixes the next year.

At the domestic level, Stoinis made significant strides, making his List A debut for Western Australia in the 2008–09 Ford Ranger Cup. He further showcased his prowess playing for Scarborough in the Western Australian Grade Cricket competition and for Northcote in the Victorian Premier Cricket.
