Priyansh Arya

Priyansh Arya, born on January 18, 2001, in Delhi, is a left-handed opening batter known for his explosive six-hitting ability. He gained prominence during the inaugural Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2024, where he scored 608 runs in 10 innings at a staggering strike rate of 198.69, including two centuries and four fifties. Notably, Arya hit six sixes in an over during a match and scored 120 off 50 balls in another game, cementing his reputation as a power hitter.

Arya's performances earned him a spot in Delhi's Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy squad for the 2024–25 season, where he continued his stellar form. He smashed an unbeaten 102 off just 43 balls against Uttar Pradesh, taking on a bowling attack featuring experienced players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Piyush Chawla. His consistent performances led to a heated bidding war at the IPL 2025 auction, where Punjab Kings secured him for ₹3.8 crore.

Having also represented India A U-19s in the past, Arya is seen as a product of the T20 era with immense potential for the future.
