
Rahmanullah Gurbaz
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, born on November 28, 2001, is a talented Afghan cricketer who has made significant strides in his career. He gained attention early on, making his international debut for Afghanistan in September 2019. Notably, in January 2021, he achieved a milestone by becoming the first Afghan batsman to score a century on debut in a One Day International (ODI) match against Ireland.
Gurbaz's prowess extends beyond international cricket into the T20 format and the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has showcased his skills in various T20 leagues worldwide. In September 2018, he was part of Paktia's squad in the inaugural edition of the Afghanistan Premier League. Gurbaz's T20 journey includes stints with teams like Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh Premier League, Barbados Tridents in the Caribbean Premier League, Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League, and Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League.
His IPL journey began in March 2022 when he joined the Gujarat Titans as a replacement for Jason Roy. Later, he was signed by the Jaffna Kings for the Lanka Premier League's third edition. Notably, he was traded to Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of IPL 2023, making his debut against Punjab Kings.
