Ryan Rickelton

Ryan David Rickelton, born on July 11, 1996, is a South African international cricketer who serves as a left-handed wicket-keeper batter. He made his international debut for the South African cricket team in a Test match against Bangladesh on March 31, 2022.

Rickelton represents Gauteng and MI Cape Town in domestic cricket. His journey to the national team began with several call-ups to various squads, including South Africa's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Pakistan in January 2021, although he did not make his debut then. In the following months, Rickelton continued to gain recognition.

Rickelton's ODI debut came on March 18, 2023, against the West Indies. In May 2024, he was selected for South Africa's squad for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. One of his most notable achievements was scoring his first double century in Test cricket during a home series against Pakistan in January 2025, where he made 259 runs at Newlands Cricket Ground. Throughout his career, Rickelton has demonstrated consistent performance and growth, solidifying his position as a key player for South Africa.
