Sam Curran

Samuel Matthew Curran MBE, born on 3 June 1998, is a distinguished English cricketer renowned for his versatile performances across all formats. Representing England in international cricket and Surrey in domestic competitions, Curran has left an indelible mark with his exceptional skills. He was acquired by Punjab Kings for a whopping ₹18.5 Cr in December 2022, showcasing his immense value in the Indian Premier League.

Curran's international journey began with his Test and One Day International debuts in 2018, followed by his Twenty20 International debut in 2019. Notably, he played a pivotal role in England's triumph in the 2022 T20 World Cup, emerging as the Player of the Tournament for his stellar contributions, including the English record for the best T20I bowling figures, 5–10 against Afghanistan in 2022.

Beyond his T20 exploits, Curran has excelled in Test cricket, displaying remarkable performances against various opponents. His remarkable achievements include being the first English bowler to take a wicket off the very first ball on World Cup debut in the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
