Simarjeet Singh

Simarjeet Singh, born on January 17, 1998, is an emerging talent in Indian cricket, representing Delhi in domestic competitions. Known for his proficiency as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pacer, Singh has been making strides in the cricketing world with his promising performances. Singh marked his entry into List A cricket with his debut for Delhi in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on September 20, 2018. His first-class debut followed shortly after, as he donned the Delhi jersey in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on November 20, 2018. Singh's versatility was further showcased when he made his Twenty20 debut for Delhi in the 2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on November 11, 2019.

In June 2021, Singh's talent earned him recognition as he was named one of the five net bowlers for India's tour of Sri Lanka. However, destiny had bigger plans for him as he was called up to India's main squad for the final two Twenty20 International (T20I) matches of the tour, following a positive COVID-19 case in the Indian team.
