Player ProfileArshin Kulkarni was born on February 15, 2005, in Solapur, Maharashtra, India. His parents, Dr. Atul Kulkarni and Mrs. Kulkarni, were both doctors, but his father harbored a different dream for his son - to become a cricketer, a dream he once held for himself. Born into a family of doctors, with his father being a failed cricketer, Arshin's journey into cricket began at St. Joseph School in Solapur, Maharashtra. Following the advice of his coaches, his family relocated him to a rented house in Hadapsar, Pune, where he lived with his maternal grandmother. Subsequently, he joined the Cadence Academy in Pune, initially starting as a leg-spinner with batting capabilities. However, owing to his physique and fitness level, his grandfather, a former pace bowler himself, motivated him to transition to fast bowling.
Arshin's prowess as an all-rounder was on full display during a Maharashtra Premier League match on June 19, 2023. In a remarkable performance, he scored a formidable 117 runs off just 54 deliveries, including three fours and 13 sixes, guiding Eagle Nashik Titans to a commanding total of 203/9 in 20 overs. Following this impressive batting display, he showcased his bowling talent by registering figures of 4/21 in four overs, playing a pivotal role in his team's thrilling one-run victory over Puneri Bappa.
