Cameron Donald Green, the Australian cricket sensation, has been making headlines with his remarkable performances both internationally and in domestic cricket. Hailing from Subiaco, Perth, Green has showcased his talent as a batting all-rounder for Australia, Western Australia, and the Perth Scorchers in various formats of the game.

Green's journey in cricket began at the age of 10 when he joined the Subiaco-Floreat Cricket Club. His exceptional skills earned him a rookie contract with the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) at the young age of 16, owing to his impressive performances in the under 19s national league.

Green made his mark in List A cricket with Cricket Australia XI against Pakistan in 2017, followed by his first-class debut for Western Australia in the same season. He made history by becoming the youngest player to take a five-wicket haul in the Sheffield Shield, showcasing his bowling prowess.

Although initially recognized as a bowling all-rounder, Green shifted his focus to batting after a series of injuries. His breakthrough moment came with remarkable innings against Queensland in the 2019–20 Sheffield Shield season, where he scored 87* and 121*.

Green's international debut came in December 2020 for Australia, where he made an immediate impact in both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Test cricket. His consistent performances earned him a spot in Australia's squad for the limited overs matches against India and subsequent Test series.

In the IPL 2023 auction, Green made headlines by being bought by the Mumbai Indians for a staggering INR 17.5 crore, making him the second most expensive overseas player in IPL auction history and the most expensive Australian player.

Green's journey continued with notable performances in Test cricket, including his maiden five-wicket haul against South Africa in December 2022 and his maiden Test century in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India.

His stellar performances earned him a spot in Australia's squad for the 2023 ODI World Cup, where he made significant contributions to Australia's victories, including a vital 47 off 52 against England.

On 27 November 2023, Green was traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore after representing Mumbai Indians for one season, further solidifying his presence in the IPL circuit. With his all-round abilities and consistent performances, Green continues to be a key player to watch out for in the world of cricket.
