Eshan Malinga

Eshan Malinga, born on February 4, 2001, in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, is a promising young right-arm fast-medium bowler. Known for his adaptability and skill in various playing conditions, Malinga has gained recognition for his performances with the Sri Lanka A team and in domestic competitions. He made his first-class debut for Ragama Cricket Club in 2022 and has since played for teams like Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) and Colombo Strikers.

Malinga's career highlights include helping Jaffna Kings win the 2024 LPL and contributing to the Bangla Tigers' victory in the 2024 Lanka T10 Super League. He trained at the MRF Pace Academy in Chennai, India, in June 2024, further honing his skills. In the 2025 IPL auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) acquired him for ₹1.20 crore, recognizing his potential as a fast bowler.
