Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel (born 23 November 1990) is an Indian cricketer known for his performances in Twenty20 cricket, particularly in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his T20I debut for India against New Zealand on 19 November 2021. Patel, a right-arm medium pace bowler and right-handed batsman, has represented Gujarat and Haryana in domestic cricket.

In the IPL, Patel has played for teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). He gained recognition for his exceptional performances, notably taking a five-wicket haul against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021, becoming the first bowler to achieve this feat against Mumbai Indians in IPL history. His consistency earned him a lucrative contract with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2022 IPL auction.

Patel's IPL journey has been highlighted by remarkable achievements, including becoming the highest Indian wicket-taker in a single season of IPL, jointly holding the record with Dwayne Bravo. He further solidified his reputation by taking a hat-trick in a match against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021.
