Kumar Kushagra

Kumar Kushagra, born on October 23, 2004, is an Indian cricketer known for his burgeoning T20 career, particularly in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He debuted in List A cricket on February 20, 2021, representing Jharkhand in the 2020–21 Vijay Hazare Trophy, and prior to this, he was part of India's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

On November 4, 2021, Kushagra made his mark in T20 cricket with his debut for Jharkhand in the 2021–22 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His proficiency in the shorter format became evident as he showcased his skills with both bat and glove.

Turning to first-class cricket, Kushagra debuted on February 24, 2022, for Jharkhand in the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy. His performance in the preliminary quarter-final match of the Ranji Trophy in March 2022 was remarkable, scoring his maiden century, which he later converted into a double century.

However, it was in the IPL 2024 auctions held in Dubai where Kushagra's career trajectory soared. He was acquired by the Delhi Capitals for a significant sum of 7.2 crore, underscoring his rising stature in the T20 format and signaling his potential impact in the IPL arena.
