Prashant Solanki

Prashant Solanki is a crafty right-arm leg-spinner from Mumbai who was signed by Kolkata Knight Riders for ₹30 lakh at the IPL 2026 auction. A product of the Mumbai cricketing cradle, Solanki made a dream start to his professional career by taking a five-wicket haul on his List A debut in 2021. He previously spent three seasons with Chennai Super Kings, where he was highly regarded for his ability to toss the ball up and extract significant turn even on unresponsive tracks. His IPL debut in 2022 was particularly impressive, as he claimed 2/20 against Rajasthan Royals, including the crucial wicket of Shimron Hetmyer, finishing his maiden season with an elite economy rate of 6.33.

Entering the 2026 season, Solanki has transitioned from Mumbai to represent Maharashtra in domestic cricket, where he has become a mainstay in their white-ball attack.
