Rahul Desraj Chahar, born on August 4, 1999, is an Indian cricketer known for his spin bowling prowess. Hailing from a Hindu Jat family, Rahul's cricketing journey began under the guidance of his uncle, Lokendra Singh Chahar, alongside his cousin, Deepak Chahar, who also represents India internationally. Despite starting as a fast bowler, Rahul discovered his knack for spinning the ball, setting the stage for his career in cricket. Rahul's personal life includes his engagement to Ishani in 2019 and their subsequent marriage in March 2022.

In domestic cricket, Rahul represents Rajasthan, making his debut in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy and showcasing his skills in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. His talent earned him a spot in the Rising Pune Supergiant squad for the 2017 Indian Premier League (IPL) and later in the Mumbai Indians team in 2018.
