Rahul Tewatia

Rahul Tewatia, born on May 20, 1993, is a versatile Indian cricketer renowned for his prowess in both batting and bowling. Representing Haryana in domestic cricket and Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Tewatia has made significant contributions to the sport.

In the domestic circuit, Tewatia debuted for Haryana during the 2013–14 Ranji Trophy, showcasing his talent on the field. He made his List A debut in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy, further establishing himself as a valuable asset to the Haryana team.

Tewatia's IPL journey began with the Rajasthan Royals in 2014, where he made an immediate impact with his dynamic playing style. Over the years, he has represented various IPL franchises, including Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). His exceptional performance during the 2019 IPL season earned him recognition, setting a joint record for the most catches by a non-wicketkeeper in an IPL innings.

However, it was Tewatia's remarkable performance for the Rajasthan Royals in 2020 that catapulted him into the spotlight. In a memorable match against Kings XI Punjab, he equaled Chris Gayle's record by hitting the most sixes in an over of an IPL match. His explosive batting, including five sixes in an over, played a pivotal role in Rajasthan Royals' historic chase, marking the highest run chase in IPL history.

In February 2022, Tewatia was acquired by the Gujarat Titans in the IPL auction, further enhancing his presence in the league. His impactful contributions to the team, including consecutive sixes in a match against Punjab Kings, have solidified his position as a key player in the Gujarat Titans lineup.
