Riyan Parag Das, born on 10 November 2001, is an Indian cricketer known for his contributions to Assam in domestic cricket and to the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was part of the triumphant Indian Under-19 team that clinched the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

In the realm of family, Riyan inherits a rich cricketing lineage, with his father, Parag Das, being a former first-class cricketer who represented Assam, Railways, and the East Zone cricket team. Riyan's mother, Mithoo Barooah, was a national record-holding swimmer, representing India at the Asian Championships and SAF Games.

Riyan Parag's cricketing journey began at a tender age. Despite missing out on becoming the youngest first-class debutant in India at the age of 14 due to differences with the Assam selectors, Riyan's talent shone through. He made his Twenty20 debut for Assam in January 2017 and subsequently made significant strides in his cricketing career.

A standout moment came when Riyan Parag represented India's Under-19 squad in England, finishing as the team's second-highest run-scorer in a series marked by stellar performances. Despite a finger injury hindering his participation in the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Riyan's resilience and adaptability saw him evolve as an offspinner.

The IPL became a platform for Riyan Parag to exhibit his talent on a grand stage. His stint with the Rajasthan Royals saw him break records, becoming the youngest cricketer to score a fifty in the history of the tournament.

Riyan's consistent performances in domestic cricket further solidified his reputation as a rising star. His exploits in various tournaments, including the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, showcased his versatility as both a batsman and a bowler.

In addition to his domestic achievements, Riyan Parag earned recognition on the international stage, representing the India A cricket team in the 2023 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. His stellar performance in the final, where he picked up two crucial wickets, underscored his potential as a game-changer.

Riyan Parag Das continues to be a promising talent in Indian cricket, with his multifaceted skills and determination setting him apart as one to watch in the years to come.
