Rovman Powell, born on 23 July 1993 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a prominent figure in West Indies cricket, known for his dynamic performances both domestically and internationally. His journey in cricket reflects resilience and determination, overcoming challenges to reach the pinnacle of the sport.

Growing up in the Bannister area of Old Harbour Bay, Powell faced adversity early on, raised by his mother Joan Plumar in modest circumstances. Despite financial constraints, he pursued his passion for cricket, attending Old Harbour High School and later earning a sports scholarship to the University of the West Indies.

Powell's domestic career saw him make significant strides, debuting in List A cricket in January 2015 for the Combined Campuses against Guyana. His impactful performance earned him the man of the match accolade, setting the stage for a promising career ahead.
