He holds the record for the fastest T20 century by an Indian, scoring a 28-ball hundred against Tripura in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in November 2024. He also smashed a 41-ball century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, which became the second-fastest List A century by an Indian. These innings showcased his destructive power-hitting, particularly in the powerplay overs.
In March 2025, Chennai Super Kings signed Urvil as a replacement for Vansh Bedi. He impressed in mid-season trials with knocks of 41 off 20 and 50 off 20 balls.
