Zakary Foulkes

Zakary Foulkes is a versatile 23-year-old New Zealand international who was signed by Chennai Super Kings for ₹75 lakh at the IPL 2026 auction. A product of the Canterbury age-group system, Foulkes is a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a capable lower-order batter, offering the 'Yellow Army' a flexible overseas all-rounder option. He rose to prominence during the 2022–23 Super Smash, where he finished as Canterbury’s joint-highest wicket-taker with 12 wickets, helping lead his team to the final. His ability to swing the new ball and provide disciplined control has made him a rising star in the Black Caps' setup across all three formats.

On the international stage, Foulkes made a historic impact during his Test debut against Zimbabwe in August 2025, recording match figures of 9/75, the best ever by a New Zealander on debut.
