Amir Jangoo

Amir Anthony Jangoo, born on 14 July 1997 in Trinidad, is a Trinidadian cricketer who plays as a left-handed wicketkeeper-batter. He made his List A debut for the West Indies Under-19s in 2015 and his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in 2017. Jangoo has played in the Caribbean Premier League for teams including Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs.

He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the West Indies against Bangladesh on 12 December 2024 and scored an unbeaten 104 runs, marking the fastest century on ODI debut in just 80 balls. Jangoo became the second West Indian to score a century on ODI debut, joining the legendary Desmond Haynes. His innings helped West Indies chase down a target of 322 with over four overs to spare, securing a 3-0 series sweep. Jangoo’s debut century was notable for being the first ODI hundred on debut by a batsman batting at number five or lower.
