Cara Murray is an exciting, highly skilled right-arm leg-break bowler and handy lower-order right-handed batter who serves as the premier spin spearhead for the Ireland women’s national cricket team. Born on November 1, 2000, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she initially excelled as a multi-sport athlete—even captaining her school hockey team—before prioritizing cricket. She honed her craft at Waringstown CC and Clontarf CC while rising through the regional pathways to represent the Scorchers and Dragons in the domestic Super Series. Armed with an analytical approach, sharp variations, and a classic googly, Murray made her senior international debut in June 2018 against New Zealand.
