Shawnisha Hector is a highly talented, determined right-arm medium-fast bowler and capable lower-order right-handed batter who carved out a historic place in Caribbean cricket. Born on September 22, 1999, in Antigua, she emerged as a standout athletic talent in the Leeward Islands regional system, refining her skills with the Antigua and Barbuda women’s team. Operating with a smooth run-up, natural control, and an innate ability to extract bounce from hard lengths, Hector’s impressive domestic performances quickly earned her a reputation as a fierce competitor, making her a crucial addition to the regional pace bowling stocks.

She secured her place in the record books in November 2019, when she became the first-ever female cricketer from Antigua to be selected for the West Indies women's national cricket team, making her formal international debut in a One Day International (ODI) against India in Antigua.
