Ben Duckett

Ben Matthew Duckett, born October 17, 1994, is an English international cricketer who plays as a left-handed top-order batter and occasional wicket-keeper for England across all formats, and domestically for Nottinghamshire. He made his international debut in October 2016 during England’s tour of Bangladesh, where he showed promise with notable innings including two half-centuries in ODIs and a maiden Test fifty. Despite early struggles, including a tough Test series in India and disciplinary issues during the 2017-18 Ashes tour, Duckett steadily rebuilt his career.

From 2019 onward, Duckett became a regular in England’s limited-overs squads, making his T20I debut in 2019 and returning strongly to Test cricket in 2022. He adapted well to England’s aggressive 'Bazball' style, forming record-breaking opening partnerships and scoring his maiden Test century against Pakistan in 2022. Duckett continued to excel with a career-best 182 in Tests and his first ODI century in 2023. In 2024 and 2025, he remained a key player, including a historic 165-run innings against Australia in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, which was the highest individual score in the tournament’s history at the time. Duckett’s blend of consistency and attacking flair has made him a vital part of England’s batting lineup and a sought-after player in domestic and franchise cricket.
