Jamie Overton

Jamie Overton, born April 10, 1994, in Barnstaple, Devon, is an English cricketer known for his right-arm fast bowling and right-handed batting. He began his professional career with Somerset in 2012 and gained early attention with his pace and ability to bowl around 93 mph. Overton moved to Surrey in 2020, where he significantly contributed to their 2022 County Championship victory, taking 34 wickets and scoring useful runs. He has also excelled in white-ball cricket, earning Player of the Tournament honors in The Hundred 2023 and playing for franchise teams like Manchester Originals, Adelaide Strikers, Gulf Giants, and Chennai Super Kings.

Overton made his international debut for England in June 2022 in a Test match against New Zealand, impressing with a near-century innings of 97 runs. He later debuted in T20Is in 2024 and ODIs in late 2024. Known for his height (6 ft 5 in) and ability to generate pace and seam movement, Overton is regarded as a formidable bowling all-rounder.
