Phil Salt

Phil Salt, full name Philip Dean Salt, is a Welsh-born English cricketer born on August 28, 1996, in Bodelwyddan, North Wales. He is a right-handed aggressive top-order batsman known for his explosive batting style and handy wicketkeeping skills. Salt moved to Barbados at a young age, where he played alongside future England teammate Jofra Archer before returning to the UK to pursue his cricket career. He made his international debut for England in July 2021 and was part of England's victorious squad in the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup.

Salt has played domestic cricket for Sussex and Lancashire and has been a key player in various T20 leagues worldwide, including the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Big Bash League (BBL). In the IPL, he gained significant attention playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, where he scored 435 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of 182 during the 2024 season, helping the team win the title. Salt further cemented his reputation by scoring back-to-back centuries in T20 Internationals against West Indies in 2023-24, becoming the first Englishman and third player worldwide to achieve this feat.
