Amir Jangoo

Amir Anthony Jangoo, born on July 14, 1997, in St. James, Trinidad, is a promising left-handed batsman and wicketkeeper who represents the West Indies cricket team. Rising through the ranks of West Indies domestic cricket, Jangoo made his List A debut in the 2014-15 Regional Super50 and first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in 2017. Known for his aggressive yet composed batting style, he has gained recognition as a hard-hitting middle-order batsman. Jangoo made a striking entrance to international cricket in December 2024 when he scored an unbeaten century (104) on his ODI debut against Bangladesh, becoming the second West Indian player to achieve a hundred on ODI debut. Additionally, he has been an asset in T20 and franchise cricket, playing for teams like Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).​
