Roston Chase

Roston Lamar Chase, born on 22 March 1992 in Barbados, is a prominent West Indian all-rounder known for his right-handed batting and right-arm off-spin bowling. He made his senior debut for Barbados in 2010 and established himself as a key player with consistent performances, including multiple first-class centuries and strong limited-overs displays. Chase was named West Indies Players' Association Cricketer of the Year and Test Cricketer of the Year in 2017.

Internationally, Chase debuted in Test cricket in July 2016 against India, quickly making an impact by scoring a century and taking a five-wicket haul in only his second Test. He made his ODI debut in June 2017 and has since delivered notable performances, including an eight-wicket haul against England in 2019. Chase was part of West Indies squads for major tournaments such as the 2019 Cricket World Cup and the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, making his T20I debut in October 2021.

In May 2025, Chase was appointed West Indies Test captain following Kraigg Brathwaite’s resignation, underscoring his leadership role and importance to West Indies cricket. He continues to be a vital all-rounder across formats, contributing significantly with both bat and ball.
