​Shamar Kamal Springer is a dynamic all-rounder from Barbados known for his right-handed batting and right-arm fast-medium bowling. Born on November 26, 1997, he rose through the ranks of Barbadian youth cricket, representing the West Indies Under-19 team notably in the 2016 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup. His performances with both bat and ball in the tournament, including a crucial 62 in a semi-final chase and a century against Fiji, marked him as a player with significant potential. Springer made his List A debut in January 2015 and his first-class debut for Barbados in December 2017. His consistent domestic performances, particularly leading wickets in the 2018-19 Regional Super50 tournament, helped establish him as a key player in West Indies cricket.​

Springer made his international T20 debut for the West Indies in October 2024 against Sri Lanka, bringing aggressive batting and lively bowling skills to the team.
