Sherfane Rutherford

Sherfane Eviston Rutherford, born on August 15, 1998, is a dynamic left-handed middle-order batsman and occasional right-arm medium-fast bowler from the West Indies. Known for his aggressive power-hitting and quickfire cameos, Rutherford has made a significant impact in limited-overs cricket since his T20 International debut in December 2018 against Bangladesh. He first gained widespread attention with a blistering 134* off 66 balls for West Indies B in the 2018 Global T20 Canada tournament, showcasing his explosive batting style. In the Caribbean Premier League, he has been a key contributor for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, helping them win the CPL title in 2022. Rutherford's aggressive batting and versatility have also earned him contracts in major T20 leagues around the world, including the IPL, where he has played for Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Gujarat Titans.​

Rutherford scored his maiden One Day International century in December 2024, making 113 runs against Bangladesh in a crucial five-wicket win for the West Indies.
