Adam Zampa, born March 31, 1992, is a key Australian leg-spin bowler specializing in limited-overs cricket. He has been instrumental in Australia’s success in major tournaments, including the 2021 T20 World Cup and the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, where he took 23 wickets—the most ever by an Australian spinner in a World Cup—tying the record for most wickets by a spinner in a single World Cup edition. Zampa made his ODI and T20I debuts in 2016 and quickly established himself as Australia’s leading spinner in white-ball formats, known for his clever variations and economical bowling.

Zampa’s domestic and franchise career includes standout performances in the IPL, notably a 6/19 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, one of the best bowling figures in IPL history. He became the first Australian to take 100 wickets in T20 internationals in June 2024, underscoring his longevity and impact in the shortest format. Despite not playing Test cricket, Zampa’s consistent wicket-taking ability and match-winning spells have made him a vital asset for Australia’s limited-overs teams and one of the world’s most dependable spin bowlers.
