Cooper Connolly

Cooper Patrick Leonard Connolly, born on August 22, 2003, is an emerging Australian cricketer who plays as a left-handed batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He represents Western Australia in domestic cricket and the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League. Connolly captained Australia’s under-19 team in the 2022 ICC Under-19 World Cup and made his T20 debut for the Scorchers in January 2023, playing a key role in their Big Bash final victory. He made his List A debut in September 2023 and first-class debut in March 2024, scoring 90 runs in the Sheffield Shield final.

Connolly made rapid progress to international cricket, earning selection in Australia’s T20I and ODI squads for the 2024 England and Scotland tour, debuting in September 2024. In January 2025, he received his Test cap and debuted in the series against Sri Lanka. Known for his all-round capabilities, Connolly models his batting style after fellow Western Australian Shaun Marsh. Despite his youth, he has quickly established himself as a promising batting all-rounder in all three international formats.
