Matthew Forde
Matthew Walter Forde, born on 29 April 2002 in Barbados, is a promising West Indian all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. He plays for St Lucia Kings in the Caribbean Premier League and Dambulla Aura in the Lanka Premier League.Forde made his T20 debut in September 2022 for St Lucia Kings and his List A debut in October 2022 for Combined Campuses and Colleges. In the 2022 Lanka Premier League, he scored his first T20 fifty and delivered an impressive all-round performance with 4/11 bowling and 52 runs in a crucial match for Dambulla Aura.
He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the West Indies on 9 December 2023 against England in Bridgetown, where he took 3 wickets for 29 runs and contributed 13 not out in a match-winning partnership, earning the Player of the Match award. Forde is regarded as a talented young all-rounder rising quickly through domestic and international ranks.
