Jacob Duffy

Jacob Duffy, born on August 2, 1994, in Lumsden, Southland, is a New Zealand cricketer who has established himself as a right-arm fast-medium bowler. Educated at Southland Boys' High School, Duffy made his senior debut for Otago in January 2012 at the age of 17 during the HRV Cup. Over the years, he has been a standout performer in domestic cricket, notably finishing as the joint-leading wicket-taker in the 2017–18 Plunket Shield season and leading wicket-taker for Otago in both the Ford Trophy and Super Smash during the 2018–19 season.

Duffy made his international debut in December 2020 in a T20I against Pakistan, where he delivered an exceptional performance, taking 4 wickets for 33 runs and earning the Player of the Match award. He later debuted in ODIs on July 12, 2022, against Ireland. His Test squad selections include tours to England in 2021 and 2022, although he has yet to make his Test debut.

In county cricket, Duffy signed short-term contracts with Kent in June 2022 and Nottinghamshire in September 2024. In December 2024, he joined Worcestershire for the first half of the 2025 season. Known for his consistency and skill across formats, Duffy remains a key player for Otago and New Zealand cricket.
