Keacy Carty

Keacy Uydess Carty, born on March 19, 1997, in Sint Maarten, is a right-handed middle-order batsman and occasional right-arm medium bowler who represents the West Indies cricket team. He is notable for being the first cricketer from Sint Maarten to play for the West Indies at any level. Carty began his professional cricket journey at a young age, playing for the Leeward Islands Under-19 team in 2013 and then for West Indies Under-19s, where he played a crucial role in winning the 2016 ICC Under-19 World Cup by scoring 52 not out in the final against India and earning the Player of the Final award. He made his senior debut for the Leeward Islands in 2016 and climbed through the ranks with consistent performances in regional cricket.​

Carty earned his West Indies ODI debut in May 2022 against the Netherlands, becoming the first Sint Maartener to represent the West Indies at the senior international level. Since then, he has cemented his position as a hard-hitting, elegant middle-order batsman known for his aggressive style and composure under pressure. In a notable series against Ireland in 2024, Carty scored back-to-back centuries, including a record 170, becoming one of the highest scorers in West Indies ODI history. His ability to score quickly and anchor the innings has made him a vital asset for the West Indies white-ball team. Carty continues to showcase his talent in domestic cricket and the Caribbean Premier League, playing for teams like the Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, and is seen as a key part of the future of West Indies cricket.
