Danni Wyatt-Hodge is a trailblazing veteran and one of the most explosive openers in the history of the women’s game. Born on April 22, 1991, in Staffordshire, she reached a monumental milestone in July 2025 by becoming only the second Englishwoman (after Charlotte Edwards) to complete 300 international appearances. Her 2024–2025 cycle has been a vintage display of 'Wyatt-ball'; she was England's leading run-scorer at the 2024 T20 World Cup and followed it up by becoming the first female cricketer to surpass 3,000 T20I runs during a dominant tour of South Africa. In late 2025, her 'storm' continued in the WBBL, where she sat atop the run charts for the Hobart Hurricanes, brutalizing spin with a strike rate of over 170.

In the 2026 Women’s Premier League mega auction held in November 2025, Danni was signed by the Gujarat Giants for ₹50 lakh. After being traded to Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the 2025 season, her move to the Giants for 2026 brings an injection of world-class aggression to the top of the order. At Gujarat, she is expected to form a formidable opening partnership with captain Beth Mooney, creating a 'fire and ice' dynamic that could solve the franchise's historical Powerplay struggles. Now in her mid-30s and playing under her married name following her wedding to Georgie Hodge in 2024, Danni enters the 2026 season as a refined match-winner, ready to bring her signature 'no-look' shots and fearless intent to the 'Orange and Black' camp.
