Prema Rawat

Prema Rawat, born on November 12, 2001, is an Indian cricketer known for her right-handed batting and right-arm leg-spin bowling. She hails from Sumti village in Bageshwar, Uttarakhand, and has been a key player for the Uttarakhand women's cricket team. In the 2023 Senior Women's T20 Trophy, she emerged as the leading wicket-taker, claiming 16 wickets in 10 matches with an economy rate of 5.55. Her all-round abilities were further highlighted during the inaugural Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL) in 2024, where she played for the Mussoorie Thunders. In the UPL final, she scored an unbeaten 32 runs, leading her team to victory and earning the Player of the Match award. Following her impressive performances, Rawat was signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹1.2 crore in the 2025 Women's Premier League auction. Her journey from playing cricket with boys in her village to securing a significant contract in the WPL underscores her dedication and talent.
