Rajeshwari Gayakwad is an elite left-arm orthodox spinner and a veteran of the Indian national side, known for her impeccable control and 'flight-and-spin' mastery. Born on June 1, 1991, in Bijapur, Karnataka, she has long been a go-to breakthrough bowler for India, famously holding the record for the best bowling figures by an Indian in a Women’s World Cup (5/15). Her 2025 season was a testament to her enduring skill; she played a vital role in the domestic circuit for the Central Zone and featured in the Indian squad during their high-intensity home series against Sri Lanka in December 2025. During the 2026 Women’s Premier League mega auction in late 2025, Rajeshwari moved to a new home as she was signed by the Gujarat Giants for ₹40 lakh.
