Taniya Bhatia

Taniya Bhatia is a distinguished Indian wicketkeeper-batsman recognized as one of the most technically sound keepers in the country. Born on November 28, 1997, in Chandigarh, she was a true prodigy, becoming the youngest player to debut for Punjab in both List A and T20 formats at just 13 and 15 years old, respectively. She made her international debut in 2018 against South Africa and quickly earned acclaim as one of the ICC's breakout stars of that year. Throughout her international career, she has been a fixture behind the stumps for India in World Cups and the Commonwealth Games, holding the record for the most dismissals by an Indian woman in T20Is. Her glovework is often described as lightning-fast, and she has proven her batting utility with a career-best ODI score of 68 against Sri Lanka.

In the domestic and franchise arena, Bhatia has shown immense resilience and leadership, notably shifting her domestic allegiance from Punjab to the UT Cricket Association in late 2025. She has been a consistent presence in the Women's Premier League (WPL), representing the Delhi Capitals since the tournament's inaugural season.
