Janith Liyanage

Kongala Liyanage Janith Vimukthi, commonly known as Janith Liyanage, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer born on July 12, 1995, in Colombo. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler who has made notable contributions as an all-rounder. Liyanage began his first-class career with Ragama Cricket Club in 2015 and has played for several domestic teams including Badureliya Sports Club, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Marvels, and Kandy Falcons, showcasing consistent performances in Sri Lanka's domestic cricket circuit.

Janith made his international debut in T20 Internationals against Australia in February 2022, and subsequently his One Day International debut in January 2024 against Zimbabwe, where he played a pivotal role in Sri Lanka's series victory by scoring an impressive 95 runs in the second ODI. He earned the Player of the Series award for his overall performance and followed it up with strong performances in the series against Bangladesh, including his maiden ODI century. Known for his solid technique and the ability to perform under pressure, Janith Liyanage continues to be a dependable middle-order batsman and a useful medium pacer for Sri Lanka.
