Newman Nyamhuri

Newman Takudzwa Nyamhuri, born on January 19, 2006, is an emerging Zimbabwean cricketer known for his left-arm fast-medium bowling and right-handed batting. He first drew attention during the 2024 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he was Zimbabwe's leading wicket-taker with eight wickets, showcasing his pace and aggression. Nyamhuri made his List A debut for Southern Rocks in the 2024–25 Pro50 Championship and quickly earned his international call-up later that year.

Nyamhuri made his ODI debut for Zimbabwe in December 2024, followed shortly by his Test debut against Afghanistan, which also marked his first-class debut. Known for his fiery bowling spells and potential as a bowling all-rounder, he impressed with match-winning performances including a notable 4 for 21 against Namibia at the U19 World Cup. A promising young talent educated on a scholarship at St Charles College in South Africa, Nyamhuri is considered a future star for Zimbabwe cricket with a strong all-round game that balances pace bowling and power-hitting.
