Matt Renshaw

Matt Renshaw is a left-handed Australian batter known for his patient approach, solid defensive technique and ability to occupy the crease for long periods. Born in Middlesbrough, England, Renshaw moved to Australia as a child and developed through Queensland cricket before earning his Test debut for Australia at just 20 years of age in 2016. Primarily an opener, he quickly showed his potential at international level, highlighted by a maiden Test century against Pakistan in Sydney, where his temperament and concentration stood out against a strong bowling attack.

Although Renshaw initially built his reputation as a traditional red-ball opener, his game has developed considerably over the years. He has remained a consistent performer for Queensland in domestic cricket while also expanding his attacking range in limited-overs competitions, including the Big Bash League.
