Shamar Apple

Shamar Tyrese Apple is a promising young Guyanese cricketer who has emerged through the West Indies age-group pathway as a left-handed middle-order batter and wicketkeeper. Born on June 2, 2009, Apple has represented Guyana at Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 level before progressing to the West Indies Under-19 side, while also earning involvement with the Guyana Harpy Eagles senior setup.

Apple has attracted attention for his attacking batting and ability to accelerate an innings from the middle order. His performances for West Indies Under-19s have included a standout 124 from just 65 deliveries, while he was also among the team's leading run-scorers during their 2025-26 tour of Zimbabwe and Namibia, scoring 139 runs at an average of 69.50. Those displays highlighted his combination of clean striking, confidence and the ability to produce substantial innings against quality youth opposition.

Still at the beginning of his senior career, Apple is regarded as an exciting prospect within Guyana and West Indies cricket.
